Dig it, Digby by Jodie Parachini

Digby and the Construction Crew is a book series by Jodie Parachini and illustrated by John Joven. If your little ones love books about trucks this book will be a hit! Thank you to Rachel's Random Resources for including me on this tour.

Although Digby enjoys building cities with his fellow trucks, he also loves to twirl and groove. Being true to both aspects of his personality will really shake things up at the construction site. The foreman may be gruff and scary, but dancing trucks can really get the job done!

Review:

Dig It, Digby is about Digby, a construction tractor. He knows the work he is doing is important but finds it boring doing the same thing day after day. He decides to add some fun by dancing and soon has all the other construction vehicles dancing with him.

What I loved about this book is it teaches children they can turn something they find boring into fun. We can’t always do fun things but we can make anything fun. I see this as a great lesson for school if a child is finding something boring at school. Just think about how to make it fun!

This would be perfect for young elementary children because of the simple words and rhyming phrases. They can read it themselves or enjoy being read to. The pictures are very cute and will capture their attention!
