It’s pub day for The Daughter’s Choice! As part of Rachel’s Random Resource’s blog tour, I’m happy to bring this book to you. I hope you enjoy! Book Description Is her whole life built on a lie? But a chance encounter days before she's due to get married leaves Rose questioning everything she has ever known. The man she trusts most in the world has been keeping a secret from her. And the truth will leave her with an impossible choice… Review This story starts out as two strangers meet at a spa resort. They get to know each other by telling their life stories. One is about to get married and the other wants to know how the happy couple met. I actually read this book without fully reading the description. As the women talk throughout the book, I knew something was going to happen but didn’t know what. This is almost three bo

The fourth book in the PI Charlie Cameron series publishes today, September 21 st . This is the first book I’ve read in the series but I did not feel like I was missing out on anything as the book read as a standalone. PI Charlies Cameron works with the less than ideal in society. When the wife of a notorious gangster approaches him for help he knows things can’t end well. At the same time Charlie is working on a case for a convicted felon who is in trouble with the law again for a crime he may not have committed. The series is set in Scotland, which I love because I love the UK. The setting does not play a large part in the story but I loved reading it. The story is told from several POV’s, which I really enjoy. Charlie’s cases deal with the darker side of the world, diving into gangs and cover up murders. The writing will keep you engaged especially as each chapter is a different persons POV. If you enjoy crime novels and twists that never end, this book is for you. Author Info O

The third book in The Sweet Water Circle Series focuses on Taylor, the newest addition to the club. Taylor is young and lives her life to the fullest with fun first and work second. She floats into work whenever she wants and her best job is avoiding work at all costs. It catches up with her as her boss, Shelly, is a member of The Sweet Water Circle, tells her she is going to fire her in 6 months. Taylor has the next 6 months to figure out what she wants out of life beyond parties and bars. I have read the first two books in this series and was excited to get my hands on the newest addition. While these are in a series, they don't need to be read in any order and can be standalone books also. If you have seen my previous blog posts on this series you know these books are hilarious. The trouble the characters get into is unbelievable, such as Taylor sliding down an ice lunge meant for liquor and falling in front of a very handsome man. When Shelly issues the advanced warning that Ta

An Impossible Promise by Jude Deveraux

An Impossible Promise  is the second book in the Providence Falls Trilogy. This is a trilogy I recommend reading in order so you have a little time to catch up before An Impossible Promise  is published on September 21st. The first book, Chance of a Lifetime  was pushed in September 2020. I could not wait for the second book after reading the first. The premise of the book reincarnation and Cora, Liam, and Finn's lives are intertwined each time they are reborn. In order to save his soul, Liam must convince Cora to marry Finn as marrying Finn is the only way to stop COra's life from ending in tragedy.  The trouble is Cora and Liam loved each other in past lives and Liam does not want to let Cora go. The book is set mainly in the present but there are flashbacks to 1844 and a past life Liam and Cora had. In the present Liam and Cora are police officers and focus on solving a case involving a gang, stolen money, and a murder. The primary storyline is Cora, Liam, and Finn and Lia

The Babysitter by Gemma Rogers

Image
Gemma Rogers has written another great book. A little girl goes missing while in the care of her babysitter, who is also a family friend. Everyone is desperate to find her. While the search is ongoing, true colors show and secrets are uncovered. What I enjoyed most about this book was the characters. We learn early in the book where the little girl is but why is the question. One person I did not like was the husband. His behavior changes so much and then went back to normal.  This is a great book if you like figuring out WHY. Author Info Gemma Rogers first novel, Stalker , was published in September 2019 and she has been writing ever since. Take A Moment by Nina Kayne

Nina Kaye's second book, Take A Momen t is a sweet reminder to slow down in today’s very busy world. It's available to read on today and its a book you will NOT want to miss. When I was invited by Rachel's Random Resources to participate in the blog tour for the book, the title and the cover are what drew me in. It is a beautiful cover that provides hints of what is in store for you in this book. Alex is a focused young woman who is successful in her new career and planning her dream wedding. When she starts to feel tired she brushes it off as wedding stress and stays focused on her goals. Then something happens that forces her to slow down. Alex, still determined to run her own life, moves away from her family friends to a new city and new job. This is my first book by Nina Kaye and I absolutely loved it. It is a fairly quick read at just under 300 pages but it is a book you will not want to end. After you finish the book, you will be thinking about what is important in yo

Never Saw Me Coming by Verna Kurian

Image
September 7th is a big pub day and its the day Never Saw Me Coming  by Vera Kurian will be available. Thank you to Park Row Books for the opportunity to read this book and post my honest review. This book opens on Day 60, which you soon learn is the number of days Will has to live. Chole wants revenge on Will and followed him to college to get that revenge. Chole is a special girl because she is psychopath and involved in a study on campus for students like her. This alone had me intrigued in the book. What would it be like to be in a study with others who do not feel "normal" feelings? Can you trust anyone? When some of the study participants are murdered, those left need to find out what is happening. You may wonder who could write a book like this? Vera Kurian is a psychologist and has a doctorate in social psychology, where she studies intergroup relations among other specialities. She is the perfect person to write this book and it is a great book. I was hooked from the
