The Vacation by T.M. Logan

Image
It starts out as a wonderful vacation for four friends and their families. It is set at a beautiful house in France. As the friends gather they find each one is holding a secret. It will be a very interesting and telling week! I loved the characters in this book. Each family has their secrets and as you find later, some of the secrets are intertwined. I also loved the setting. The house in France was beautiful and has a force of trees. I could picture the characters as they went about the house and I love these type of books. There is plenty of mystery to unravel. This is my second book by this author and I love his writing style. It pulls you in and I stayed up late in the night reading as I couldn’t wait to find out what happened next. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves mysteries and complex characters. This book comes out July 21st and is a definite must read! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Brave Girl, Quiet Girl by Catherine Ryan Hyde

Image
Brave Girl, Quite Girl is a great book. Brooke is carjacked with her young daughter, Etta, is in the backseat. She tries to chase the car but can't. The next 24 hours are a nightmare for Brooke as she waits for her daughter's return. Luckily her daughter is found by a teenage girl, Molly, who lives on the streets of Los Angeles. Molly protects Etta until she can be safety returned to her mother. This is a complex story about relationships. It is heartwarming how Molly watches over Etta and the relationship that forms later between Molly and Brooke. Brooke does not not have a good relationship with her mother, who she lives with and this just adds to the complexity of the story. The story also highlights the struggles of living on the streets and what causes someone to have to do that. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Drue is found dead on the morning of her wedding and Daphne is lead on a trail that uncovers a lot of secrets in an effort to find out what happened to her friend. I have been a Jennifer Weiner fan for many years. I have read all of her books and LOVES the way she connects with readers. During COVID-19, she began an online book club on

Sister Dear by Hannah Mary McKinnon - BLOG Tour

Image
Hannah Mary McKinnon’s latest novel, Sister Dear, is available May 26 th ! I was excited to be asked to a part of the BLOG tour, especially in a time when authors cannot share their books at in-person events. The book is about Eleanor, who discovers as her father is dying that he is not truly her father. Her mother had an affair with a wealthy man. While this explains why she and her mother have never gotten along, Eleanor wants to learn more about her father. She meets him a few days later only to find he wants nothing to do with her or her mother. She decides to find out more about her half-sister, Victoria. Victoria has the perfect life and Eleanor feels as if she has no family left. As Eleanor learns more about her new sister, she finds things are not always as they seem. Sister Dear is a thrilling novel with many twists and turns. There is a lot of family drama in this story. Eleanor feels really alone in the world after her father dies because she has never gotten along

Red Sky Over Hawaii: A Novel by Sara Ackerman is being published next week on June 9 th . I am so happy to be part of the BLOG tour for this amazing book. Lana is racing to visit her dying father in the days leading up to Pearl Harbor. After his death, she is at her father’s house when US officials take away some of his friends for questioning, leaving their children with Lana. Pearl Harbor has changed Hawaii, and anyone suspected of colluding with Japan is rounded up for questioning. Lana takes the children to a house her father had been building to keep them safe until their parents could return. While at her father’s new house, she meets a Major in the US military and she must lie to him to protect the children. This works until the Major becomes closer to the family and to Lana. I loved books about this time in history and was very interested in this book. I had not heard a lot about what happened in Hawaii after Pearl Harbor so the history interested me just as much as the sto
