JE Rowney's 10th novel is Starting Out . It is about Violet, who is a starting midwife with all the hope in the world. She’s studied and worked for this. It’s her dream. But every day she fights to keep her anxiety at bay. Can she really be a midwife? This is a truly wonderful book. It is about a young college graduate beginning her career along with helping plan her best friends wedding. I thought the author explained the anxious feeling Violet has amazingly accurate. I loved watching Violet go through her first days and learn so much. This book is part of a series and I would love to read the rest. This is a quick read with a great message. JE Rowney's past books include the Lessons of a Student Midwife  series, as well as psychological thrillers such as The Woman in the Woods. Starting Out  is a new series but a continuation of Lessons of a Student Midwife  series. Julietta Henderson’s debut novel, The Funny Thing About Norman Foreman, is coming out on April 13 th . It is the story of Norman as he tries to fulfil the five year plan he and Jax had come up with to become comedians. The first problem is Jax passes away at the beginning of the book and he is the funny one in the duo. Still Norman presses forward determined to honor his friend and fulfill their goal. Meanwhile Sadie, Norman’s mom, is also on a mission to identify and find Norman’s father. Norman wants to know his father but the trouble is Norman’s father is one of four men. Norman, Sadie, and Sadie’s friend Leonard set out on a journey to find out who Norman’s father is and help Normal reach his dream of becoming a comedian.   The story is told in chapters from Sadie’s point of view and Norman’s point of view.
