RUNNING ON EMPTY by Karin Fitz Sanford
Welcome to my stop on Partners in Crime Tours for Running on Empty: A Wine Country Cold Case. I'm thrilled to be starting off the tour for this ex-FBI agent main character and I have a special guest post from the author as well.
More from Karin
My first Wine Country Cold Case book (THE LAST THING CLAIRE WANTED) had my young and intrepid ex-FBI heroine, Anne McCormack, starting up a new estate liquidation business, working with a troubled family, hiring on as a temp cop, and solving a decades-old murder. This time around, in RUNNING ON EMPTY, I wanted to throw Anne into a risky situation that tests her mettle. So although she once again finds herself in the middle of family drama and an unsolved murder, things turn darker as she struggles with her own questionable judgment—as well as a new, highly questionable romantic interest. She even gets a car chase. The fun of writing Anne’s continuing saga is in revisiting characters, while giving Anne new people to bounce off of—can Renee be trusted?—and new ethical dilemmas.
Hope you enjoy this latest outing. I’d love to hear what you
think of Anne’s new beau—is he a keeper or not? Cheers, Karin
