Review:

You can see the type of illustrations in this book from the cover. I love the cute lines and especially the font of the words. It is as if a child wrote the story and it is magical. New friends, Butterfly and Snail, watch each other every day and wish they could do what the other does. This book is ideal for ages 4 and up and it is a great lower elementary book for early readers. There are not a lot of words so early readers would have fun with the story. It also teaches a wonderful lesson to not give up. Everyone could use a reminder of this at times and in this cute book you find it with Butterfly and Snail.

ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR

Artist Christopher Jhureea, known as CJ the Kid in the creative world, has danced in television commercials, films, and theatrical productions from Australia to the United States, including three years in a Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas. Sharing free-flowing imagination and color with the world is how he interprets and answers life’s complex questions and also as a reminder to himself and others that we should always have fun and keep the kid alive in ourselves. The Snail And The Butterfly is his first children’s picture book, too.
