If The Ring Fits by Camilla Isley

Welcome to my stop on Rachel’s Random Resources tour for If The Ring Fits. I’ve read Camilla Isley’s books before so when this came up for tour I jumped at the chance to read it. It will published on January 25th so mark your calendars now if you love a good Romcom!

About the Book:

When Life Gives You Lemons, Fake an Engagement

When investment banker Adrian and software engineer Rowena started the day, they didn’t expect to end it engaged! But Adrian has invented a fake fiancée to impress his CEO, regretting the lie almost immediately, and now he is in hot water. Meanwhile, Rowena's career has just gone up in flames, leaving her unemployed, unexpectedly expecting with no father in the picture, and short of options. When fate throws these two hot messes into a meet-cute of epic proportions, it's a match made in rock-bottom heaven. They say love is blind, and with nothing to lose, Adrian gets down on one knee… and Rowena says yes!

The rules of engagement are simple:

Pretend to be madly in love

Keep their real lives separate

Absolutely, positively do NOT catch feelings

However, faking it is harder than they thought, especially when every overnight stay comes with only one bed and zero personal space—blurring that imaginary line between ‘just business’ and ‘definitely personal.’

Soon, their carefully constructed charade starts to feel alarmingly... real. Can Adrian and Rowena stick to their engagement pact, or will their fake relationship graduate to something authentically messy, complicated, and wonderful?

Find out in this hilarious, heartwarming tale of two strangers who said "I do" before they even said "Hello." Because sometimes, the worst day of your life just might lead to the best mistake you'll ever make.

Book Review

I could not have loved this book any more than I did. It is the perfect combination of strangers to lovers with witty banter. I’ve read several books by this author and am always impressed with her writing style that is full of awkward events, laugh out loud scenes, and wonderful characters. Adrian and Rowena meet as they are both throwing up in the bathroom! How is that for a start to your relationship?!? My favorite part was the beginning of the story where Rowena is meeting Adrian to sign divorce papers but she loves him. This immediately hooked me and I wanted to know what happens to them. An excellent Romcom that will leave you feeling happy!

About the Author:

Camilla is an engineer who left science behind to enter the whimsical realm of romantic fiction.

She writes contemporary rom-coms. Her characters have big hearts, might be a little stubborn at times, and love to banter with each other. Every story she pens has a guaranteed HEA that will make your heart beat faster. Unless you're a vampire, of course.

Camilla is a cat lover, coffee addict, and shoe hoarder. Besides writing, she loves reading—duh!—cooking, watching bad TV, and going to the movies—popcorn, please. She's a bit of a foodie, nothing too serious. A keen traveler, Camilla knows mosquitoes play a role in the ecosystem, and she doesn't want to starve all those frog princes out there, but she could really live without them.
