Halloween Rescue by Tonya Flores

Love Book Tours introduced me to the cutest children's series about two very special puppies, Zuko and Allie Puff. Just in time for Halloween they have a new book out. If you are not familiar with Zuko and Allie Puff, don't worry because each book can be read as a standalone or on Kindle Unlimited.

Zuko and Allie Puff are puppies with special powers but they want to be like every other puppy and celebrate Halloween by going trick-or-treating. As Zuko and Allie Puff have fun they also stand by their virtues of generosity. Each book in this series focuses on building strong self character. These messages are woven perfectly in the books. After I read this book with my little, I spent some time talking about the how the puppies acted in the book and reemphasize the message. Besides the cute story and important message, the illustrations are amazing! They add so much to the story and bring it to life. The little ones in your life will love this amazingly cute book!

About the author:

After working in adult education for over 20 years, author Tonya Flores is delighted to now have time to pursue her dream of supporting social-emotional learning and life skills education through children’s picture books. Tonya’s core philosophy is based on Aristotle’s virtues, which encourage individuals to strive to be the best version of themselves. Aristotle wanted people to embrace virtues such as bravery, truthfulness, confidence, wit, ambition, friendship, patience, and generosity. These secular virtues can act as a guide for building a life that’s full of happiness, fulfillment, and social responsibility. Tonya has been happily married for over 30 years and has two grown children she loves very much.
