Honey Harvest by Elissa Kerr

Honey Harvest is a sweet book ideal for children ages 4-8. It is a fiction book but as my little described it, it is sort of a non fiction because it teaches you things. The author, Elissa Kerr, is the founder of Scenic Route Publishing. Honey Harvest is her third book.

I read this book with my little and she really enjoyed it. She loved the pictures and how they described what was happening in the book. She loved the words because they rhymed and the story was very interesting. This book is not only about harvesting honey but about sharing and being nice. The girl goes with her father, who is a beekeeper and learns about bees. This is a great book for a child that loves books that teach and are a mixture of non-fiction. The book even has a Q&A at the end to teach more about bees and beekeeping. I think this is a great book for any child as the story and pictures will resonate with anyone!

Zoe Saunders is the illustrator and she lives in Great Britain. She loves illustrating children's books, especially ones that she can draw nature and animals. You can visit her website, www.whimsicolourart.com to learn more about her.
