The Personal Shopper by Carmen Reid

I have a treat for fans of Sophie Kinsella today! The Personal Shopper is the story of Annie, a personal shopper at a high end clothing store in London. Clients come to her to spend their monthly clothing allowance or to change up their look. While Annie may have everything in hand with her clients, her personal life is struggling. A single mom who has been on countless blind dates, she is ready to find her perfect match. Thank you to the publisher and Rachel’s Random Resources for allowing me to be part of this blog tour!

If you like light-hearted and funny books, The Personal Shopper is for you. It is the perfect escape book and does not take long to read. I was disappointed when it was done because I wanted to read more about Annie but then I found out this book will be part of a series! Carmen Reid has a knack for creating relatable characters. Annie is hardworking at her store job and her side job of selling clothes on E-Bay. She is who I would want as a personal shopper. She listens to the client and wants to make them feel their best even if it does not make the most sales commission for her. Annie has a few mishaps in the book which leads to several laugh out loud scenes.

What first caught my attention was the cover. The bright red makes you notice it and it is simply a beautiful cover. It embodies the book perfectly and when you pick it up you know you are in for a good read!
