Meet Me In London by Georgia Toffolo

Meet Me In London has been available for a few months and is the first book in a four part series. I love finding a new series because it means I have more books waiting for me so I was very interested in this book. Many thanks to HQN Books for inviting me on this blog tour.

Victoria wants to design clothes but until this can pay the bills, she’s working at a bar. The bar happens to be across the street from a shop she and her ex owned. When her ex kicked her out and keeps the business she is left with very little. Victoria works with a group of teenagers trying to help them get into the design business as well. While leaving a fabric shop with a box full of discount materials she literally bumps into Oliver. She has never met Oliver but soon finds out he is building the massive department store at the end of the street that has all the local stores upset. Oliver is under a lot of pressure from his family to get the store running and have a romantic life. Oliver asks Victoria if she will pretend to be his fiancée while his parents are in town to ease their worry about his personal life. What can go wrong???

I absolutely loved this book. It is the perfect feel good read. It is set during the holidays before Christmas but this is not a large part of the story. The story is full of funny scenes such as Victoria running into her ex and his fiancée with Oliver next to her.

As Victoria and Oliver are fake fiancées, they find out they have more in common than they thought. The ending of the book is fairly predictable but the excitement is reading the journey throughout the book. It is a story or love and forgiveness both of yourself and others.

I can't wait for the next books in the series!
