Review:
Five childhood friends are permanently bound together by a terrible event that continues to haunt them. The book opens with a call to bring the five together at a remote cabin. No one knows why and no one admits to calling the group together. The book is a dual timeline but it took me a few chapters to get used to the transition. It is a really smart transition with a sentence starting in one chapter and ending in the next. Every other chapter changes timeline and also POV. It became one of my favorite things about the book. This is a book for those who love the idea that you can’t outrun your past.
