The Woman In My Home by Diana Wilkinson

The Woman in my Home just published on June 6th in the US and is her second book published with Bloodwood Books. I’m thrilled to be on tour with Rachel’s Random Resources as Diana is a new author to me and I love finding new authors. If she is a new author to you as well I hope you enjoy this view into her latest psychological thriller!

 About the Book:

It was all meant to be so easy. Payback with a difference.

I’d stay in Ballyholme, Northern Ireland, to decide whether to forgive my cheating husband, Ryan. Ciara, my new best friend, would stay in our London home, free of charge, until I made up my mind.

The ruse certainly had its plus points: Ciara’s unexpected appearance would freak Ryan out, and my disappearance should make him regret his roving eye.

But now I learn Ciara has evidence … evidence that my husband has committed murder. And she’s no longer answering my texts and calls. Is it some sort of blackmail plot? More worrying, if Ryan is indeed a killer, could he strike again?

Review:

Flo and Ciara are the two POVs in this story. They decide to switch places and Flo lives where Ciara is from and Ciara lives with Flo’s husband, Ryan. Why would they do that? Flo has a deep mistrust with Ryan and Ciara promised to help her out.

At the beginning of the book I was a little confused because it jumps right into the story with very little context. Once I figured everything out I really enjoyed the book. The back and forth POV and not really knowing where each woman stood had me hooked. This story is full of surprises and I absolutely loved how the author revealed them. If you love a thriller that will keep you guessing this is the book for you!

About the Author:

Diana Wilkinson (née Kennett) was born and bred in Belfast, Northern Ireland, during the height of the civil unrest. After graduating from Durham University with a degree in geography, she settled in England.

Diana spent most of her working life in the business of tennis development. A former Irish international player, Diana recently stepped off the court to become a full-time writer. The inspiration for much of her work has come from the ladies she coached over the years and from confidences shared over coffee.

Previously published by Bloodhound Books, Diana’s debut novel, 4 Riverside Close became an international bestseller, and its success was soon followed by the release of three more psychological thrillers: You Are Mine, The Girl Who Turned A Blind Eye, and The Six Guests.

In 2022 she signed a three book publishing deal with Bloodwood Books. One Down was published in January 2023, and her second book, The Woman in my Home will be out on 8 June 2023.

Boldwood are also relaunching three of Diana’s back catalogue, starting with Right Behind You, on 24 March 2023.
