A Mother's Secret by Caroline Finnerty

A Mother’s Secret is a story of two families brought together by tragedy. Rowan and Aiden live in Ireland with their three children. James and Helena are newly married but struggling in their marriage. One horrible car crash brings these families together in a way they never thought possible. Rowan and James were in the car together along with Rowan’s daughter, Milly, but no one knows why. As more information comes out about the crash, even more questions are asked. What happened the morning of the car crash?

Review

Everyone has secrets and there can be life changing consequences when they are discovered. This story is a heartbreaking picture into two grieving families. As I was reading it was hard to imagine what these two families are going through. I emphasized with both families and am very happy with the way the story ended. Throughout the book Aiden showed extreme emotional strength and I loved this from a male character. So many times the female character has to be the emotionally strong one and it was refreshing to see another view. I would recommend this book if you are looking for a quick, family focused read.
