Take A Moment by Nina Kayne

Nina Kaye's second book, Take A Moment is a sweet reminder to slow down in today’s very busy world. It's available to read on today and its a book you will NOT want to miss. When I was invited by Rachel's Random Resources to participate in the blog tour for the book, the title and the cover are what drew me in. It is a beautiful cover that provides hints of what is in store for you in this book.

Alex is a focused young woman who is successful in her new career and planning her dream wedding. When she starts to feel tired she brushes it off as wedding stress and stays focused on her goals. Then something happens that forces her to slow down. Alex, still determined to run her own life, moves away from her family friends to a new city and new job.

This is my first book by Nina Kaye and I absolutely loved it. It is a fairly quick read at just under 300 pages but it is a book you will not want to end. After you finish the book, you will be thinking about what is important in your life. COVID has had many of us looking inward and deciding what is important. Just like many us in the spring of 2020 when COVID forced the world to shutdown, Alex’s life is turned upside down. I greatly admire how she handled the curveball life had thrown at her. She has such strength, both physical and mental. The overall message in this book is to slow down and this is a great message.

I recommend this book if you are looking for an escape. You will get drawn into the book, both by the characters and the setting.
