Shamed by Linda Castillo

A young Amish girl is missing and time is running out to find her. Kate is the chief of police in a small town near an Amish community. Kate has a special relationship with the Amish because she grew up Amish before leaving. Kate understands the Amish don’t trust outsiders and prefer to handle things within their own community. However, Kate has a missing girl to find. As she investigates she begins to uncover details the Amish wish were not known. Kate has to use her ties with the community in order to gain their trust and bring the little girl home.

This is the second book I have read by Linda Castillo and I was not disappointed. The main character, Kate, is in all the books but everything is explained so you can jump right into the book. I love the story development and the characters are very relatable. I tried to figure out the ending but could not until it was here. I loved this book!
