That Other Family by Lis Angus

Book review: Imagine growing up you thought you were your father’s only family but find out that he had a second family. This is the premise of That Other Family. The title of That Other Family rather than The Other Family sets the tone for this book. It sets tension and animosity that carries through out the book but under the surface. Told in multiple POV we hear from different characters and get their side of the story. Read an excerpt: Chapter One JULIE The woman slid three photos to me across the table, her manicured nails immaculate. “I know you don’t want to believe me. But you need to look at these.” I was already on my feet, having told her—Frances Boyle, she said her name was—that we had nothing further to discuss.
